Hi.

This is the story of how life can change too fast. From Asian beaches to Irish chemo wards, we document it here.

Scattering Rebecca's ashes in Dublin

Scattering Rebecca's ashes in Dublin

Laying Rebecca to rest in the place she loved

Rebecca asked that we scatter her near the Poolbeg towers, in her native Dublin. Rebecca moved to this area after Bangkok, and spent more and more time walking Sandymount strand when she was undergoing treatment. She was always drawn to water, and in times of stress, it gave her solace.

With help from a great crew, we put together a ceremony we think Rebecca would have loved.

Guests from far and wide

Wonderful friends and family came from all over the world to see Rebecca off. Every chapter was represented, with friends who met her in Australia traveling from London, childhood mates traveling from Galway and a Bangkok coworker coming from Dubai. People moved their trips home to be with us, and other just took time out of their busy week to join in. It was a wonderful gathering of friends and love.

Rebecca’s Corner

To mark the special place, I added a orange heart to the corner near the flowery meadow. Feel free to go and visit if you are in the area - google maps pin.
