Christmas in Castletown

It was nice to roam around our childhood backyard on Christmas day. The estate we grew up on is on the former grounds of this 18th century mansion. The river Liffey flows through the front of the property, and there are extensive walking trails throughout.

Rebecca was in between round of chemo, and we had had a busy busy week catching up with friends and family for Christmas. We needed a slow meandering day, and without this walk…we would have been moulded into the sofa.

We loved spending Christmas with Paul, Maureen and family. They really let ourselves go!
