The cure for summer is always a Lake

I only had 3 days in Florida but I had to prioritize a trip to my favorite chill out 'resort'. No amount of top Thai hotels can compete with breezy spanish moss, clear skies and publix lunches on Lake Placid. 

I brought my sister and my niece and we used every second of our 24 hours enjoying the lake house.

I finally stopped to photograph this relic, my college nickname!

Unfortunately, hurricane Irma destroyed the deck leading into this lake, so it might be a while before we get to jump off it again. It was a lesson in Carpe Diem, go while you can!
